Barett Carlisle

Barrett Carlisle grew up in Ropesville, TX where he was very involved in competitively exhibiting sheep and goats and playing a big part in his family’s club lamb operation, Diamond C Club Lambs. He would later move to El Dorado, KS to attend Butler Community College and ultimately be a member of the livestock judging team that won Louisville (NAILE) and Ft. Worth. After finishing at Butler, Barrett transferred to Kansas State University and received a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science while also being on the judging team.

Previously, Barrett has helped coach the livestock judging team at Hutchinson Community College, and worked for the Red Angus Association of America, and Zoetis. Barrett is also fortunate to have the opportunity to judge many sheep and goat shows across the country.

Currently, he and his wife, Jara Settles, live just outside of Kansas City, KS where they operate Diamond C Livestock and work closely with many families to assist with their show lamb projects, providing guidance with feeding and daily care.
