FEEDING RECOMMENDATIONS
Donors: Recommend starting 45 to 60 days prior to your breed day. Start donors at 1 pound per day 60 days prior to breeding and gradually work up to 2/2.25 pounds per head per day at time of CIDR insert, or shortly after.
After breeding day, you can reduce down to more of a maintenance feeding rate, 1 to 1.5 pounds per head per day. If donors are thinner, you can go up to 2.5 pounds per day. If donors are in ideal shape, you can stay at the 2 pounds.
Remember, you want to be increasing their plane of nutrition going into breeding day. So do not start too high and not give yourself any room to increase.
Recips: Feed 45-60 days prior to being implanted. Feed at a rate of 1 to 1.5 pounds per head per day.
Bucks: Start at 2 pounds per head per day. Can adjust according to body condition score.
We recommend feeding Foundation in conjunction.
